This is a Darling Piece ~ Just a Lovely French handpainted porcelain Bulbous Squat Footed Rose Bowl Vase, circa 1900, very fine, french Limoges porcelain, completely handpainted by a very talented artist in a GORGEOUS HAND PAINTED VICTORIAN BOUQUET OF TEA ROSES ~ decorated in beautiful shades of soft Pinks, Burgundy Wines, and cheerful Yellows ~ nestled in wonderful lavish greenery with beautiful background shades of soft pinks, lavenders, blues, and greens which truly enhance the lush greenery and branches. The artist has truly captured these wonderful roses in full bloom....Artist signed underneath the inside near the gold foot. The darling scalloped opening has been beautifully decorated in heavy coin gold, as are the lovely Rococo Ornate Feet, also decorated in beautiful coin gold.

This sweet beauty measures a charming 5 3/4" in height, and a full 18 1/2" in circumference. In Excellent Condition ~ no chips, cracks, stains, hairlines, paint loss, gold loss, or repairs. I do note for accuracy one very tiny round surface rub to the paint, just beneath the artist signature, which is located on the underneath inside near the foot. Just the prettiest!! Bears no manufacture mark on bottom, which is quite common in this type of mold.

This is truly made of fine European "hard paste" porcelain, of similar high quality to the "hard paste" porcelain produced in Limoges, France during the 20th century. "Hard Paste" porcelain tends not to craze with age, as does "soft paste" porcelain and English bone china. This is an excellent example of very fine hand painted china.
