Ferris was a very prominent American artist and teacher of the fine art of china painting who was frequently a featured artist and contributing writer to the prestigious KERAMIC STUDIO publications between 1898-1915, published by Adelaide Alsop Robineau and her husband.

Her artwork is so beautiful that it is Imperative and a "Definite Must Have" ~ every great porcelain art collection just wouldn't be complete without at least one example of an Ida Ferris signed china painting. This is Truly one of the Prettiest hand painted Plates you will ever see.

The colors in this plate are STUNNING. This is an Exceptional example of Ida Ferris' work, and a stunning, luminous portrait of this favorite of all garden flowers.

In Excellent to Mint Condition, with a Gorgeous Coin Gold rim that elegantly outlines the entire scalloped edge. A sterling investment quality Art-Porcelain, with the china painting perfectly preserved within a lustrous glass overglaze finish. This beauty measures 8 1/2" in diameter and has been marked underneath with the Haviland & Co., mark 12, underglaze, full name, with France, in green, circa 1893 - 1930.
