About Old Babes
Located in Atlanta, Georgia, I have been restoring dolls for families, collectors and museums for more than 20 years. I do doll valuations for a large estate sale group and have done doll repairs for a major insurance companies.

I am a member of the United Federation of Doll Clubs UFDC and Collectors United CU and I have written articles on dolls and their history for national magazines. I have been buying and selling dolls on Ruby Lane since spring of 2007 and eBay since 1999. We have sold extensive collections out of the Southeast utilizing electronic selling methods Ruby Lane, eBay, doll shows and private sales. Visit my web page about how we sell collections.

I am familiar with the clothing, construction and accessories of dolls from the mid 1800's to the 1960's. What I don’t
know I can find quickly, thanks to the extensive library of books and articles I have collected over the years.

I stumbled into the doll business after taking my personal dolls to a bad doll repair shop, where they ruined my childhood treasures. I decided, with four years of art school, I could do better with my knowledge of mediums for supplies and the ability to research repair techniques. I started buying and working on dolls to perfect my skills and soon had so many I began selling them.

I now sell private collections for others. As a semi-retired graphic designer and photographer, I am able to use those skills to display the dolls to their best online. (I spent years photographing around the globe, and even photographed three American presidents.) I am an award winning graphic artist, but the best award to me has always been a repeat customer.

I want customers to be happy whether they purchase a doll from me or sell a doll through me. I like dolls, and I like helping people. I hope I will have a chance to prove that to you one day.
