This is a great Ironstone plate by Maier & Sons ca 1848. A lovely pink Transfer on Ironstone. Forgive my typo on the sticker stating 1948. It is clearly marked with a registry marking dating it to the year 1848. Mea Culpa! The pattern is Roselle. It measures 8.5" made in the Staffordshire region of England in the 19th century heyday of English potteries.The pattern is a blending of Romantic & Oriental styling. A beautiful pattern. No Chips or cracks a few areas of spotting on the back as shown and priced to sell!.
