A Felicitous Gathering of Curious Goods - Have a question? Need more information? Email me - mjbakst@yahoo.com
This fun little 'village' assembles into an entire town, with church, houses, a meat market and grocery, cars, trees, and of course, a gas station with old fashioned pumps, and a speed sign... 20 miles per hour!
Condition is very good. The toy looks complete, everything listed on the cover is present and accounted for, and there's even an additional fence piece with a child and small animal at the gate that looks to be original. I have used scraps of the cut offs that are still in the box to stand the pieces up, as per the printed instructions. There have been a couple of small repairs to the backs somewhere along the way, and one bush does not stand well, although with a bit of TLC I'll bet it could. The box has a split on one edge that extends onto the front cover, but there are no losses. For the most part the pieces assemble and fit properly, with the exception of one roof that just doesn't want to lie down completely. All in all though, it's in remarkably good shape. No manufacturer is listed on the box, just "Printed in U. S. A." Box measures 14 5/8" x 5 1/4" x 15/16"
An entertaining and instructional piece that depicts an idealized small town America that is all but gone today.
