That's right folks, the original salad spinner! First, put your greens or veggies in and give them a good wash, then slide the sides up and grab both handles at the top, step outside your kitchen door, and give it a good 'windmill' shake to dry it off. Voila! Clean and dry salad. Ingenious, no?

Condition is great for such an old piece, with just some expected darkening of the wires. Late 19th C or early 20th C. Measures approximately 13" to the top of the handles when closed.

Even if you can't step outside to shake your veggies dry, this versatile wireware piece offers many possibilities. It's perfect for storing potatoes or onions in the kitchen, and does admirable duty as a fruit bowl; letting the air circulate really makes all the difference.
