This poster pictures, and identifies by name, every part of this remarkable sidearm. It shows a cutaway view, with what I believe to be a cam activated hammer block, an improvement that came about after WWII. This 'vintage' poster is from the years between 1965 and 1986, when Smith & Wesson was owned by the Bangor Punta Company.
Condition is very nice. There are some minor wrinkles, a few small spots (as shown), and slight toning of the paper, all of which attest to it's age and authenticity. This is the 'real deal', not a modern reproduction. Framed in a contemporary black metal molding with glass. Measures 25 3/16" x 17 3/16".
Beautifully rendered in amazing detail, this poster was likely used for military or police training purposes, or displayed in a gun shop. Probably not too many of these survived. An intriguing, no nonsense image. You will find yourself drawn into the intricacies of cold steel architecture.
A great addition to any collector's wall.
