This intriguing piece was made to be displayed, with two original holes in the foot for hanging. The overall gray-green is kissed by a gentle glow of pink and yellow in the background, and encircled by a simple rim of gold.
Condition is great with only a bit of wear to the gold, and some expected overall crazing which is most apparent on the back. There are a few glaze pops from the manufacture, with one small area of roughness, approximately 1/4", perhaps from some kiln debris caught in the glaze. Measures 10" in diameter. The particular version of the Keller & Guerin mark on the back of this charger was used from 1900 to 1920.
This is a wonderful piece, evocative of the energy and abandon, the artistic creativity blooming in all of the arts at the turn-of-the-century in France. Perfect to hang in that spot where you have a moment to muse. Indulge.
