This lovely diminutive dresser jar is the perfect size to corral a few odd pretties on your dresser. The heavily embossed glass is decorated front and back with painted flowers resembling pink daisies, or more specifically the Echinacea we all hear about so much these days; and highlighted with a delicate gadrooned brass edge. Never had a top... very pretty.

Wavecrest was first manufactured by C. F. Monroe in the 1880's in Meriden, CT, and production ended in 1916, after only a few short years. Some of the glass blanks used by Monroe came from France, but primarily they came from Mt. Washington Glass Works and its successor, the Pairpoint companies.

Condition is great with no real problems to report. Measures 3 1/2" in diameter, and stands 1 5/8" tall, with the outside of the brass lip measuring 2 5/8". Late 19th C. or very early 20th C.

A sweet piece to add to a collection, your own or a friends. Add a few chocolates and gift someone special.
