From wonderful to downright weird - FREE DOMESTIC SHIPPING & INSURANCE on most items - What you see is what you pay!
Each plate has five naturally shaped oyster wells, a scallop shaped well, and two small peach colored petal shaped wells. The pink ground is textured to look like alligator skin, another unusual feature of this appealing pair. I particularly like the way the shells are disposed on the plate in a naturalistic, asymmetrical arrangement.
Condition is good with minor wear to the gold. One plate is perfect with no chips, cracks or restoration, the second plate has one small sliver shaped loss to one corner. This could be restored if you wish, but I bet you didn't notice it. These plates display beautifully. Marked only with the hand-painted number "0628," and likely French or German.
This delightful pair of plates would look wonderful in a cabinet flanking a 'pink' collection. And a perfect addition to a collection of oyster plates. Treat yourself, you'll love them.
