A wonderful Currier and Ives print entitled "Married", complete with it's original, antique mahogany veneer frame and old wavy glass... just the way you want to find it. Even the 19th C hanging loop is there. All you need is an old Victorian picture nail to hang it from for that authentic 19th C look, although a picture wire has been added if you prefer.

The scene is one of 'domestic bliss', a mother and father with their sweet young daughter. The girl sits on her father's knee holding a toy tin horn, while her parents look lovingly at her. A lovely, idealized, romantic scene.

Condition is great, with much less darkening and discoloration than you usually find on these old prints, as they were not framed with the archival materials we use today. The overall measurements are 12½" x 16".

There is a label with some information about the print, that was affixed to the original wooden backing when I acquired it.

A nice piece for a collector, or a lovely gift for a wedding or anniversary... one that will always be remembered.
