An even half-a-dozen goose eggs with wonderful old, crackled paint. These babies look as if they might be sporting rugby stripes, something a bit different from the usual springtime pastels... curious and quite handsome. Condition is great. The eggs were pierced and emptied; each has a small patch of what looks like old fashioned adhesive tape that covers the hole under the paint. Just a grand piece of antique Folk Art. This watercolor painting of pansies with their bright, happy faces has been proudly signed "Drawn and painted by Willie Pope. age 12 years." These definitely fall into the category of the weird and wonderful. Always kind of spooky, masks are made to conceal, but often reveal more than they hide.
