Rare Antique Wireware Salad Washer - Late 19th C or Early 20th C - Kitchenware - Wire Ware -

$325 USD Offers ConsideredRare Antique Wireware Salad Washer - Late 19th C or Early 20th C - Kitchenware - Wire Ware - FREE DOMESTIC SHIPPING

Antiques:Wireware
That's right folks, the original salad spinner! First, put your greens or veggies in and give them a good wash, then slide the sides up and grab both handles at the top, step outside your kitchen door, and give it a good 'windmill' shake to dry it off. Voila! Clean and dry salad. Ingenious, no? Condition is great for such an old piece, with just some expected darkening of the wires. Late 19th C or early 20th C. Measures approximately 13" to the top of the handles when closed. Even if you can't ...
Antique American Pine & Wire Ware Bird Cage w/ Bells - Wireware - Folk Art - Americana

$795 USD Offers ConsideredAntique American Pine & Wire Ware Bird Cage w/ Bells - Wireware - Folk Art - Americana

Antiques:Wireware
A wonderful piece of American folk art, this little birdcage is entirely handmade of pine and wire. Every working detail is hand fashioned, clasps, springs... everything. My favorite detail is the three little hand fashioned ornamental wire bells that dangle on the front... non-functional embellishments meant only to be decorative. They tremble with the smallest movement. Simply charming. Perhaps the birds that once lived here liked to peck at them. It's a beautifully proportioned piece, ...
SOLD Antique Masonic Wireware Florist's Form - Wire Ware - Fraternal Hammer & Axe - Folk Art

SOLDSOLD Antique Masonic Wireware Florist's Form - Wire Ware - Fraternal Hammer & Axe - Folk Art

Antiques:Wireware
What a fantastic object. Originally used by a florist to create and shape a floral arrangement, it remains a sensationally graphic and sculptural wire form, displaying the traditional Masonic symbols of crossed hammer and ax. Quite literally a skeleton of its former self, this fabulous wire work has transcended its humble and functional origins to become a piece of sculpture. Condition is great with no problems to report. This piece measures approximately 20" x 20" x 5", and stands on its own. ...
SOLD Wireware Soap Dish - Early 20th Century - Wire Ware

SOLDSOLD Wireware Soap Dish - Early 20th Century - Wire Ware

Antiques:Wireware
Wire ware is so wonderfully graphic, I just love it, and this charming soap dish is no exception. The twisted wire loops and crimped wire dish are perfectly functional and yet remarkably decorative. Condition is great, with a bit of surface rust here and there... nothing to detract from it's appeal, though. It measures 7" x 4¼", and stands 6½" tall. The two large spirals near the top are attached to the framework with crimped fasteners, rather than woven together. I would guestimate an early ...
