This is a fun series of six cards that give you a sense of train travel in 1929. On one side you have art work showing the beauty of Zion National Park in Utah and the Grand Canyon National Park of Arizona. There are a total of four different pictures. On the other side is The Overland Route - Union Pacific System logo and a menu. The first one is dated August 9, 1929 for Dinner at the Utah Parks Company - Bryce Canyon Lodge. The next two are for the same lodge but they are for Breakfast and Luncheon on the following day, August 10th. The next two are for the following day, August 11th but they are for Breakfast and Luncheon at the Zion Lodge. The last one, also for the 11th is for Dinner at the Grand Canyon Lodge. They come in an envelope intended for mailing, with the Union Pacific logo in the corner.
The cards measure about 4 3/8” by 5 11/16” and the envelope is just slightly larger. The cards are in good condition with minor wear. The envelope has a 1 ¾” tear in the top right corner.
The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
