Vintage Chalk Piggy Bank - Friar Tuck Monk

This old penny bank is made of a painted composition pottery like material or chalkware. The cute monk has chubby cheeks and a fuzzy halo of hair. On the front of his robe it reads; This is my bank - Thou shalt not steal. There is a 1 ¼” coin slot on the back and a 1 ¼” diameter hole in the bottom with the original rubber plug.

It measures about 7 1/2” high and is in nice condition with minimal wear and no chips or cracks. The are a few paint blemishes on the top of his head. The rubber stopper is hard from age and might break if removed.
