Vintage Neverout Kerosene Bicycle Lamp

This old bicycle lamp is a Neverout Insulated Kerosene Safety Lamp patented by the Rose Mfg. Co. of Philadelphia U.S.A.. This information is on top of the vent over the wick. The name Neverout is also on the knob that is used to adjust the height of the wick. The front lens frame is hinged on the right and clips closed on the left. The bottom comes off to remove the oil canister for filling. It has its three original faceted jewels; a red on one side and a green on the other with a red rear jewel where it reads; Prevents Accidents. It appears to be all original including the front lens and it comes with its original bracket.

Overall it is in nice with minimal wear to the nickel. There are some scratches and dents on the body. The bottom edge of the ring on the bottom has a hole worn through it. I would assume it was caused by the lamp rubbing against the tire. The hole is only through the base piece and does not affect the oil reservoir. The pin on the bracket is worn so it won't stay in a raised position. It measures about 6 5/8" tall. Email for additional photos.
