Vintage Kerosene Bicycle Lamp - The Queen

This is an old Queen bicycle lamp as shown on the decorative domed vent over the wick. It is made of nickeled brass and has a wonderful spherical shape with a protruding convex lens and a small reservoir. This lamp is very similar to The Unique, both made by the Manhattan Brass Co. of New York and Chicago. The reservoir can be unscrewed to fill the reservoir. It has its original convex front lens, and side jewels, one red and one green. The flanged lens holder is hinged on the left and clips closed on the right. The wick is adjusted by the thumb screw on the right which reads; M.B. Co. N.Y.. It also has its original spring style bracket on the back which is also made of brass.

The lamp is complete and in very nice condition. The nickel is very good on the top portion of the lamp with minimal wear. The nickel is worn from the reservoir portion with some of the brass showing through. The body is good with very little wear and the lens and side jewels are in good condition also. It measures about 6" tall.
