This old ring box is white bakelite with a rather simple exterior. There is a molded design on the front of the hinged lid and the edge of the lid and base are scalloped with a little green paint in the grooves. When opened, the scalloped edges are much more decorative and the green shows off more plus the edge around the fabric inset is also painted with the green which has a bit of glitter to it. The cream colored linen like inset has an dark green velvet like pillow with a slot in which to display an antique ring. The fabric insert in the hinged lid is advertising; Newton's - Jeweler's since 1914. It is marked; The bottom of the box is marked Warner J.C.Co. Buffalo N.Y. U.S.A. Made in U.S.A.. I believe this is probably from the 1930's.
It measures about 3 1/8" wide by 2 1/4" deep and 1 1/2" high when closed. It is in very good condition with minimal wear and a tight hinge.
The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
