Vintage RS Prussia Cake Plate with Matching Dessert Plates

These porcelain pieces are from the Reinhold Schlegelmilch factories of Germany. There is a pierced handle cake plate with four matching dessert plates. They have a pretty pattern of pink roses and small white blossoms that remind me of strawberry blossoms. The colors on the serving plate are richer than those on the individual plates. The large plate has a faint yellow green background around all of the floral areas and deeper green in the ridged areas of the outer edge. It also has nice luster finish and a hint of gold highlights. There are a couple of dark dots on the front, in the porcelain and the glaze on the back has some imperfections. Inside the raised rim on the back there are two hash marks. I believe this would indicate that this was determined to be a factory second. The smaller plates are, overall, paler in color. All of the pieces have the red wreath mark identified as Mark number 4 in Mary Frank Gaston's Collector's Encyclopedia of R.S. Prussia, however the color of the mark is lighter on the large plate from the marks on the smaller plates.

The cake plate measures about 9 1/2" in diameter. It is in nice condition with minimal wear on the front. The raised rim on the back is chipped about 1 5/8" and is shown in the photos. The small plates are in fairly nice condition. There are some teeny nicks on a few of the pointed edges and the rim on the bottom one has a few chips.
