Vintage Casket Style Jewelry Box from Boulder Dam

This old metal jewelry box has the graceful lines generally seen in Art Nouveau pieces. The lower half is embellished with a leaf and scroll design and four graceful legs. The hinged lid is decorated with scrolls and flowers with a medallion in the center. The raised medallion reads; Boulder Dam Nevada with a small but quite detailed picture of the massive dam. The bottom half of the box has a shiny copper plating with the recessed areas darkened by patina. The lid is mostly dark with all of the raised details shiny copper. Inside has a shiny turquoise blue fabric lining. On the bottom is marked with JB 1298.

It measures about 2 5/8" wide at the rear feet and 1 3/4" deep at the feet. It measures about 3 1/16" high at the back. It is in very good condition with minimal wear. The lining inside is good with no tears.
