Vintage Gold Filled Locket with Patriotic Emblem

This old yellow gold-filled picture locket is nicely shaped with a mother of pearl like background and a small patriotic design in the center. Set between a draped decoration is a small enameled shield. The top of the shield has three stars on a blue background and the lower part is alternating red and white stripes. Inside there are oval rings to hold pictures on both sides. It appears to have the original textured foil behind the plastic which is held in by the rings. The back is textured with a vertical pattern. The little shield at the top that the chain runs through appears to be marked 1/20 10k GF. The delicate chain is marked 1/20 12K GF.

The locket measures about 7/8" in length excluding the loop and is in nice condition with minimal wear. The hinge and latch are tight. The pictures may be larger than actual size to show the detail.
