Vintage Celluloid Wind Up Traveler with Suitcase - O.J.

This is a fun old wind up toy of a celluloid boy heading off on a trip. The young boy has a cute face with rosy cheeks and is wearing a dark blue overcoat and a pinkish red cap. His right arm is jointed and in his left arm he carries his large tin suitcase which has London and New York stenciled on it. The mechanism is housed in the suitcase and when it is wound the boy's legs move up and down at a quick pace as he travels in a large circle. On is back it is marked: Made in Occupied Japan.

The celluloid is in very nice condition with good colors, minimal wear and no damage. The tin suitcase is also in good condition with minor wear. There are two areas on the stenciled side wear it appears to have remnants of red tape and on the opposing side there is a slight amount of rust as shown in the pictures. The boy measures about 4 3/8" high and the suitcase measures about 2 5/8" long. The mechanism works well.
