Vintage Children’s Handkerchief Set with Original Packaging and Christmas Greeting

This little hankie set is adorable with it‘s colorful and graphic box. The box contains two white handkerchiefs, each with an embroidered corner. One has a little blonde girl holding her little doll. The other has a girl wearing a pleated dress and a red hat with a feather She has matching red stockings and is holding a parasol and a heart shaped purse, both stitched in red. The hankies are tied to a cardboard back with a thin gold cord. The lid of the box has a brown bear picking apples to put in the basket on his back The bear scene is flank by two toy soldiers. There is a label on one the end of the box. On the back, hand written in ink, it reads in part; A Merry Christmas to Dorothy.

The box measures about 5 ¼” square by 3/8”. It is in very nice condition with minimal wear. The label on the end has loose and tattered edges. The hankies appear to have never been unfolded but I am guessing they would measure about 9 ½” square. They appear to be in wonderful condition.
