Vintage Celluloid Fruit Basket Figural Tape Measure

This colorful old figural tape measure is in the shape of a wicker basket filled with ripe fruit. The celluloid is nicely detailed and the colors of the fruit are vivid. There are bunches of green and purple grapes, a pear and a plum and two other items which could be apples or perhaps peaches. The small metal tab that comes out the side of the basket pulls out the yellow cloth tape measure. It has inches on one side and centimeters on the other and is stamped Germany.

It measures about 1 ½” in diameter across the top and is in very good condition with strong colors and minimal wear. The tape pulls and retracts wells with very minimal fraying.
