This pretty stemmed sherbet dish probably started out crystal clear but has turned a beautiful lavender, also called sun colored. It has a slightly flared, paneled design with a short paneled stem. It is similar to Heisey's Colonial pattern but is not marked and I haven't been able to identify it as such for certain. Check out the matching sherbet in our shop for a pair. This style glass is what many malt shops used with their Hamilton Beach malt makers for malts and shakes. They would mix it on the malt maker in this glass and serve from it as well. Vintage Crushed Fruit Soda Fountain Jar or Humidor

$245 USDVintage Crushed Fruit Soda Fountain Jar or Humidor

Glass:Soda Fountain
This is a beautiful old pressed glass storage jar. I believe it was used as a crushed fruit jar, commonly found on the back bar of old soda fountains to hold crushed pineapple or strawberries for making sundaes and banana splits. Some call this a humidor but because of the large knob lid I think it is more appropriate to assume it was used in the soda fountain. The heavy glass has a pretty pressed design. The outside edge of the lid and the inside edge of the jar are frosted to give the lid a ...

This old depression glass was made by Federal Glass and is in the Lido pattern. I'm not sure what it might have originally been used for, maybe malts or shakes in an ice cream parlor or perhaps iced tea. I think it makes an excellent root beer float glass with the graduating bulbous design. It is a light amber color with a subtle vertical optic design. Put a small, medium and large scoop of ice cream in it, add root beer and you're set with a summer treat. It stands about 6 7/8" high. The top ...
