An original very early Victorian steel engraving from the 1830s, depicting the Pass of Awe (nowadays known as the Pass of Brander), showing the famous battle where the Brooch of Lorn was lost.

Overall paper size about 10.8 by 8 inches. Actual image size (excluding wording) about 6.8 by 4.4 inches. From the original drawing by T. Allom, as were most of the prints in this series. Paper a little browned with age but otherwise in good condition. The moiré effect which can be seen in the scan is not present in the original.
