A handsome pair of silver-handled fish servers, missing their date mark, probably by John Round of Sheffield, circa 1880. They could also be by Joseph Rodgers.

They may not look very practical, but are very useful when serving a large fish such as a whole poached salmon. I recommend poaching as a way of cooking the salmon, but not as a method for obtaining it!
