Glass:Antique:Flask:Decanter:Boar:Pig
A charming novelty decanter - a cobalt blue glass pig or wild boar, with cork and silver-plate stopper in his smiling snout. Possibly German, probably late Nineteenth/early Twentieth Century. He measures a fraction under nine inches overall. In perfect condition with no chips or cracks, just some pitting to the silver plate on the stopper. Add a little fun to your dinner table.

A fascinating Nineteenth Century goblet, engraved with fairytale figures, the central one being apparently Mother Goose, the right hand one a wolf in a cloak and, at the left, a dog in a cap and smoking a pipe, peering from behind a tree. It is engraved with the ornate initials JHR and the wording Novem’ 11th 1857. This would appear to be a specially commissioned piece to commemorate a birth or a baptism, and must have been a precious item from the time it was first given as a gift. It measures ...

A pair of Bohemian red overlay wine glasses, 7 inches (18cm) in height, diameter across the top a fraction under 3 inches (7.5cm). Beautifully engraved with deer in the traditional manner. Being hand-made they are not absolutely identical in height, diameter, or colour but that is to be expected. Perfect condition. Fabulous glasses for table or display.

A ruby flashed Victorian glass scent bottle, complete with glass stopper and silver cap. Unfortunately the silver cap is not the no-doubt ornate original but a plain modern replacement, simply marked Silver. About 3.5 inches in length, a little watermarked inside (we have not tried to remove this) but with the glass itself undamaged apart from the very minor scratching expected on a piece of this age, this is a rare and quality item with some unfortunate imperfections.
