A print on rather rough paper (small pieces of woodchip visible), showing Iona Abbey, originally founded by Saint Columba, and giving a description of its history. I have scanned this in black and white, but the actual page is somewhat yellowed with age. Overall size 10.4 inches x 7.5 inches approx. From the paper, the print and the style of the text I would judge this to be an Eighteenth Century print. Free Air Mail shipping anywhere.

These cute bloodhound pups are a print by Edward Julius Detmold, originally published in The Book of Baby Dogs , circa 1910. The print, which measures 6.6 inches by 5.5 inches, is in excellent condition, and is mounted on its original page, which has survived less well, but will act as a good basis for supporting the print when matting. I would also assume that the dull brownish one is the female and the bright red one the male, as is so often the case with birds. Apparently this was King John's house, which explains its state of ill repair even when the original drawing was made by Sparrow on July 23 1777.
