Samual A Edwards is a listed artist and can be found in Davenports easily. He is known for his engravings, messotints and other prints.

Offered is a beautiful vintage Mezzotint by Samual A Edwards after Sir Henry Raeburn (American, 1861-1935). The Mezzotint is Circa 1910 and is framed beautifully in a 19th Century French Giltwood and Gesso Frame with minor losses. This frame is simply outstanding. Having hung recently in an Art Museum I can say it is definitely of the standard to grace the finest collection of Fine Antique Art Prints or Antique Frames.

Provenance: Gift from Mr. Carl D Sheppard to the Akron Art Museum and later sold to benefit the Museum's accessions fund.

Size: 21 x 11 1/2 Mezzotint in 27 x 14 inch 19th century frame.

Condition: Dirt Accumulation to print and frame. Very minor losses to frame.

Age: Print Circa 1910, Frame 19th Century
