This is an wonderful resource book for the study of early nursing history in Iowa, "Historical Outline Iowa State Association of Registered Nurses and Related Organizations " by Emma C. Wilson, Historian for the State Association of registered Nurses in 1931. The book contains 12 chapters with 141 pages and includes a year by year history of the first 20 years of the Iowa State Nurses Association. The book also includes a District by District history of organizations with each hospital and and accredited training school history. The history of Iowa nurses in the Red Cross, Military (List of nurses who died in service) and Public Health Nursing as well as the first Board of Nurse Examiners members is included.
