It is an honor to have and offer these pins from one of our wonderful nurses. The pin with the lamp is a (SIGMA TAU CHI) Honor Society pin. It has 18 Seed Pearls and 3 Rubies. The pin is marked on the back "Ruth Dale 2-12-39" The other Nursing Pin has 14 Seed Pearls and 3 Rubies. Both pins are marked 10k and are in excellent condition without scratches or missing stones. These beautiful pins were earned by Ruth Dale Ogilby, Johns Hopkins Hospital School of Nursing Class of 1942. The following (and her picture) is from the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing Alumni News " “When I look at what a Hopkins education meant for my life, I want others to have what I was lucky enough to have. To ensure this, we must increase the School’s endowment. When I was ready to sell my house, I talked to my kids who, for various reasons, did not want to live in it. I decided to donate the house to Hopkins. That gift not only helped me financially but allowed me to make a difference in the lives of nursing students today and in the future.” (She was a member of Base Hospital 118 in New Guinea during W.W.II) These are beautiful Nursing Heirlooms from a Wonderful Nurse. You are welcome to return these pins any time in the future for more than you paid for them. *See http://www.jhu.edu/~jhumag/1198web/nurses.html
