This slip was sure to keep a baby warm on a cold auto or sleigh in the days before heated cars, probably the early 1900s. It is long enough to have been worn under a christening gown.

The slip is made of off-white finely-woven wool, with satin tapes binding the neck and sleeve edges. There are two mother-of-pearl buttons on each shoulder, and the hem has scalloped embroidery.

The baby garment measures 22 inches from shoulder to hem, and 19-1/2 inches around the chest directly under the arms. It is in very good condition with no holes or stains. This garment has been gently washed and ironed, and comes to you from our smoke-free, pet-free home. (Hanger not included)

This item will be carefully folded, packaged with a backing board and plastic sleeve and shipped by first class mail in a large bubble envelope, with postal insurance included within the US. International postal insurance may be declined if not desired.
