This book is “Seaman Si”, subtitled “The Adventures of a Blue Jacket on the High Seas of Fun and Trouble”. The cartoons were drawn by Perce Pearce, and were originally printed in the Navy publication, the “Great Lakes Bulletin”.

This compilation of World War I cartoons was published by Reilly & Britton Company in Chicago, and copyrighted in 1918. The book measures 8-1/8 by 4-1/8 inches and contains 95 numbered pages.

The book is in fair condition – the binding is loose, one page is torn, and two pages are separated from the binding. The cover is soiled and has some penciled signatures, and the spine has lost its paper covering.

This item will be protectively packaged and shipped in a box by media mail, including postal insurance within the US. International postal insurance may be declined if not desired.
