These eight issues of the weekly newspaper “American Observer” cover the period from March 13 through May 21, 1934. This period of US history was in the depths of the Depression, and these issues cover such topics as Roosevelt’s New Deal and NRA objectives, the first year of Hitler’s Reich, Roosevelt’s settlement of potential auto strike, World War debt payments, Japanese and European political policies, and interstate crime.

There are several political cartoons in each issue, and the back page covers the new of the week in Washington DC.

The American Observer was published weekly by the Civic Education Service, Walter E. Myer, Editor. Each issue contains 8 pages, measuring 11-1/2 by 16 inches. The issues have been printed on a semi-glossy paper and are in overall good legible condition, with a few creases and stains. They have all been folded down the middle.

This item will be packaged with a backing board and plastic sleeve in a large bubble envelope, and shipped by media mail, including postal insurance within the US. International postal insurance may be declined if not desired.
