My shop is a mix of vintage costume jewelry, buttons, clothing, books, postcards, sheet music, ephemera, photos, and more.
The book was copyrighted in 1955 by the Museum of Modern Art, printed by MACO Magazine Corporation, and this is a first edition. It has a prologue by poet Carl Sandburg.
The book has white paper-covered hardcover boards printed in gilt, with a black fabric spine. It is in very good condition, with no tears or creases, although there is some age-browning at the page edges. The binding has loosened where the sewn page sections intersect but is largely tight, and there are no cracks at the endpapers. The interior pages are in very good condition, although slightly age-browned. The book contains 192 numbered pages, and measures approximately 8-1/2 by 11 inches. The original dust jacket is torn and creased in several places along the edge and spine.
This book will be protectively packaged and shipped in a box by media mail, including postal insurance within the US. International postal insurance (registered mail) may be declined if not desired.
