This book is titled “Aapinen”, and it was written by Herman Niemi, and dated 1921.

I don’t read this language but it’s easy to see that the book begins with the alphabet, in upper and lower case, with an illustration for each letter. This is followed by some phonics exercises, plus a number of short stories and poems. Some writing exercises and the multiplication tables are at the back. The book has cute black-and-white line illustrations throughout.

There are some condition issues – the spine is loose, the pages are age-browned, and there are pencil scribblings on the alphabet pages. One page is torn and one is dog-eared.

The cover, although brightly printed in red and green, is soiled. The book measures 4-3/4 by 7-1/2 inches and contains 60 pages.

This book will be protectively packaged and shipped in a box by media mail. Postal insurance may be declined if not desired.
