My shop is a mix of vintage costume jewelry, buttons, clothing, books, postcards, sheet music, ephemera, photos, and more.
The Morse's safari began in Nairobi, Kenya (then called British East Africa). He describes in detail the guns used, the accommodations and transportation, the native porters, and of course the animals shot, including elephants, zebras, rhinos, buffalos and lions. There are many black-and-white photos throughout the book.
There is no date, but it must be prior to 1928, as that is the date that Mr. Morse began a museum in Warren, New Hampshire, with his travel souvenirs. I have included a ticket to this museum. The museum closed in 1992 and the contents were auctioned off.
The book measures 6 by 8-1/2 inches and contains 60 pages. It is in good condition, with minor creases on a few pages. The front cover has a small crease and stain on the right bottom corner and the back is creased at the top left. There is a small tear at the spine.
This booklet will be packaged with a backing board and plastic sleeve in a bubble envelope, and shipped by first class mail, including postal insurance within the US. International postal insurance may be declined if not desired.
