SALE Baby Doll Undergarment - Hand-Sewn, Early 1900s

At first glance, this appears to be a baby doll’s one-piece undergarment, but when you look closer, you realize that both legs have been sewn across the opening. Possibly when the child outgrew playing with the doll, mother sewed the legs and used it as a clothespin bag or small laundry bag. It would be simple to remove this stitching.

The back has extra fullness to accommodate a baby doll's bottom. The neckline is edged with a bias strip. The fabric is off-white cotton semi-sheer gauze. The piece measures 12 inches from top to bottom.

The opening at the back has been left unstitched, but otherwise the garment is in very good condition with no stains or holes. It has been washed and ironed, and comes to you from our smoke-free, pet-free home.

This item will be carefully folded, packaged with a backing board and plastic sleeve and shipped by first class mail in a bubble envelope. Postal insurance may be declined if not desired.
