Authors include Joyce Westrup, Evelyn Smith, Angela Brazil, Lady Alastair Graham and many others. One article describes a holiday walking tour and the clothes and equipment required. There’s an article on lacrosse tactics with photos, and some wonderful stories, even a play.
There are four color plates and many black-and-white illustrations by various artists, including Florence Harrison and Harry Watson.
This book was published by Blackie & Son in London. There is no date, but there is a gift inscription on the endpaper dated Xmas 1925.
The book has pictorial boards, showing a young woman in a pink dress with a basket of fruit, with a light blue fabric spine. Condition is good overall. There is shelf wear at the top and bottom of the spine, and the cover boards are worn around the edges. The binding is split near the back, but there are no cracks at the endpapers. The pages are printed on quality paper and are in good condition with no tears or creases. The book contains 176 numbered pages, and measures approximately 7-1/2 by 9-3/4 inches.
