This book is the “authorized Shirley Temple edition” of “The Little Colonel”, by Annie Fellows Johnston, originally written in 1896. This edition was published by A. L. Burt Company in 1935 when the film starring Shirley Temple was originally released.

“The Little Colonel” co-starred Lionel Barrymore, and featured Bill “Bojangles” Robinson in a dance routine with Shirley. The book is illustrated with eight black-and-white photos of scenes from the films, plus another photo on the endpapers.

There is a dust jacket, which is in poor condition, with tears, creases and paper loss.

Condition of the book is good overall. The blue fabric boards have water stains on the spine. The binding is tight and there are no cracks at the endpapers. There is some shelf wear on the top and bottom of the spine and at the corners. The interior pages are in very good condition with no tears or creases. The book measures 5-1/2 inches by 8-1/4 inches, and contains 145 numbered pages.

This item will be protectively packaged and shipped by media mail, with postal insurance included within the US. International postal insurance may be declined if not desired.
