SALE Double Exposure Cabinet Card – Actor Comedian Advertisement Photo

$75 USD SaleSALE Double Exposure Cabinet Card – Actor Comedian Advertisement Photo

Collectibles:Photographic:Vintage
This very unusual cabinet card photo shows a man side-by-side in two poses, an intentional double exposure. He is identified on the bottom as John J. Black, Character Comedian. On the left you see Mr. Black in everyday appearance, and on the right he appears in costume for the stage. This was an innovative technique in these relatively early days of photography, and it is especially rare to find a stage performer’s photo in this format. The card was produced by Foreman, in Grafton, West Virginia ...
Vintage Photo of Identical Twin Babies on Bearskin

$18 USDVintage Photo of Identical Twin Babies on Bearskin

Collectibles:Photographic:Vintage
It’s very unusual to find a vintage photo of infant identical twins. These two are so cute and alert, dressed in matching long dresses (Christening gowns?) and propped up against a bearskin rug. The oval photo is printed on a large rectangle of heavy paper, measuring 7 by 10 inches. The sepia photo portion measures 4 by 6 inches and is sharp and clear. There is a heavy crease at the top left corner of the mount and a light one at the right edge, but the photo itself is in very good condition ...
Unique Cabinet Card Photo – Four Family Generations

$15 USDUnique Cabinet Card Photo – Four Family Generations

Collectibles:Photographic:Vintage
This cabinet card photo is unusual in that it shows a family group of four generations. Great-grandmother is seated on the left, mother and child seated on the right, with grandmother standing behind them. The location and family are unknown. The photo is 4-1/2 by 6-5/8 inches, including the cardboard mounting. The image is sharp and clear, but there is a crease across the center. This photo will be packaged in a rigid plastic sleeve and bubble envelope, and shipped by first class mail. Postal ...
Vintage Wedding Portrait of Young Couple (Note the Rose)

$12 USDVintage Wedding Portrait of Young Couple (Note the Rose)

Collectibles:Photographic:Vintage
Brides in the early 1900s often did not have a special wedding dress and veil, as we do now, as the dress could usually worn be worn at other occasions later in the marriage. (My own grandmother’s wedding dress was not even a white one.) This bride has a rose in her hair and another pinned to the bodice of her lovely ruffled lace dress. The groom, in white tie and tuxedo, has a rose in his lapel. They are identified on the back as “Uncle Fred and Aunt Lydia”. The cabinet-size photo is mounted on ...
Rockville Centre, NY, Elementary Classroom Photo, 1930s

$14 USDRockville Centre, NY, Elementary Classroom Photo, 1930s

Collectibles:Photographic:Vintage
This photo of a classroom (maybe second grade?) was taken in front of their brick school building, with teacher standing proudly at the center. The little girls are so cute with bows in their hair and MaryJane shoes; the boys have short pants. The picture is not dated but the clothing dates it to about the 1930s. The back of the photo is stamped: “Judd Studio, Rockville Centre, N. Y.” It measures 5 by 7 inches and is in very good condition. This New York class photo will be packaged with a ...

$24 USDPosthumous Photo - Young Woman’s Photograph with Flowers

Collectibles:Photographic:Vintage
This is a posthumous cabinet card photo showing an easel on which has been placed a round photo of an attractive woman with a stylish hairdo and hat. Surrounding her are several beautiful wreaths of flowers. The one directly below the portrait is from her sister. This is a cabinet-size photo, circa 1890, taken by Rosenquist in Rockford, Illinois. It is in excellent condition and the photo is sharp and clear. This item will be packaged in a rigid plastic sleeve in a bubble envelope, and shipped ...
1930s Missouri Mining Town - Group of 17 Photos and Negatives,

$15 USD1930s Missouri Mining Town - Group of 17 Photos and Negatives,

Collectibles:Photographic:Vintage
I had these photos printed from a group of old negatives I found – the negatives are included. The negatives are in an envelope from The Baldwin Studio, St. Louis, Mo. From the clothing and autos shown, I estimate these photos date to the 1930s. The most interesting photos in this group, in my opinion, are the four snapshots of a local parade, probably Fourth of July. One photo shows 4 people dressed in Revolutionary costumes on a float with the caption “Town Officers”. Another photo shows three ...
