This book, entitled “Turn to the East”, was written by Carolina Singer and illustrated by her husband, C. Le Roy (Roy) Baldridge, with a foreword by Nathaniel Peffer. It defines their love for Japan, Korea and China in beautiful words and gorgeous pictures. There are eight full-page color plates, and numerous other illustrations in red pencil or watercolor surrounding the text. It is a 1958 auction catalog of Parke-Bernet Galleries (now Sotheby’s) in New York. The catalog contains full-page color plates of 17 beautiful paintings and 12 full-page black and white plates.
