John Marin Drawings 1886-1951 by Sheldon Reich was published by the University of Utah Press in 1969. It offers an in-depth perspective of this artist, most widely known as America's great water-colorist. He is also a significant print-maker and painter in oils. This effort presents Marin's drawings that for the most part remained a private part of his artistic effort, allowing us to gain insight into his creative thought processes.

It measures 10.25" wide and mot quite 9" high. The black hardcover has an embossed profile of Marin's head. It has 120 pages with some minor damage in the lower corners of a few pages. Otherwise this book is in very good condition.

As an artist, I think the black and white drawings are very instructive. I purchased this in Salt Lake City a few years ago.
