Florenza Grand Floral Brooch with Luminous Faux Pearls

Stunning and charming comes to mind when I study this gorgeous brooch by Florenza, (1948-1981) known for interesting stones and expert metal work. The bright gold tone finish is full of floral details accented with big brilliant green rhinestones, small faux rubies and amethysts as well as the three very large faux pearls. It is contemporary and refreshing!

Florenza manufactured jewelry for other companies such as Weiss, Kramer, Coro, Capri and Carnegie. They also made accessory items for the vanity marked Florenza which are becoming very collectible. This same design is shown as a top of a gold tone box on page179 in the book Collecting Costume Jewelry 101 by Julia C. Carroll.

This lovely brooch measures 2 1/2" from top to bottom and almost 2" wide. The high dome design adds drama to the multi-dimensional effects. Florenza has always been one of my most favorite designers because of it's unique and wide ranging styles.
