This is signed in 2 different places. The full name is split into two lines on the Trumpet clasp and then "czecho" is printed on the body of the bug dating this from 1918 to 1939. The Art Deco influence shows, incorporating quality rhinestones that were geometrically cut imitating gemstones. The large faceted pink stone is superb in depth of color because of the perfect foil coverage on the back.
Her measurement at the widest point of the wings is just under 2 inches and from top to bottom she is 1.5 inches. The gold plating is pristine, glinting on the high arched wings. Such a big look while light in weight, as if she just landed, making a perfect accessory for summery outfits.
A rare name now in the ever changing world. Pieces from this era are hard to find in such wonderful condition. I hope someone will adopt this sweet heart of a bug and give her a great home!
