This dainty double open salt caddy, made of brass and mother of pearl, comes complete with twin cut glass salt cellars securely attached.

What a beauty! The soft, shimmering shades of the nacre, the crystalline glass, and the deep patina on the brass combine to create a little work of art. Most probably French, the unsigned piece dates from the late 1800s.

The caddy is 3 inches tall, 3 inches across, and 2 1/2 inches back to front, and is in fabulous conditon. The shell has light wear, the worst of it shown in the picture below. The faceted cut glass salt dips are perfect, free of chips and cracks. The entire piece has come down through the years remarkably well preserved.

Simple, beautiful, a treat for yourself or a sure-to-be- appreciated gift for a loved one.
