Signed simply, Austria, this beautiful little portrait bud vase or mini jug features an early transfer of a graceful woman with flowing dark hair. Her dress, a deep wine shade, matches the rose tucked behind her ear. The bulbous jug itself is in soft, graduated shades of mulberry, the lip and handle embellished with gold painted details.

Standing 4 1/4 inches tall, and 4 1/4 inches in diameter, this gracefully proportioned piece is in very nice condition, having no chips, cracks or repairs. There is some minor wear to the paint, as well as a couple of tiny flaws so common to early transferware. All in all, a gorgeous little face jug.
