Folks here in Nova Scotia love their seafood, feasting on fresh lobster, scallops and crab. Shell fish motifs are especially popular in the Maritimes.

These unique, vintage crab shakers are so natural, with their beady little eyes and grasping claws! Brightly hand painted in red and yellow, each is subtly different; for example, the pepper shaker has darker claws than the salt shaker.

Made of sturdy pottery, each shaker is 3 1/4 inches in diameter at its widest point. Each has its original rubber stopper, and each has remnants of its original foil label, enough to confirm they came from Japan, maker unknown. Except for the stoppers, they are in super condition; only a few tiny chips can be seen upon very close inspection.

A bright touch of whimsy for your beach house or nautical theme.
