Since 1869, Ballantine's has had a reputation for brewing some of the world's finest Scotch whiskey. This wonderful golf bag decanter was issued in 1969, to help celebrate the 100th anniversary of the company.

Made of heavy ceramic, this figural decanter depicts a golf bag in a rich cognac shade, with superb attention to details such as the stitching on the bag and the silver painted rivets and zippers. The top of the decanter was made to look like golf clubs, the top one of which is the decanter's lid. Signed on the bottom, Liquor Bottle 185, Ballantine's 1969. The maker is unknown, but Ballantine's have often used Wade containers for their products.

Standing 12 inches high, and 6 inches across at its widest point, this decanter is in excellent shape. No chips, cracks or crazing mar its shiny surface. There are a couple of glaze pops, and minimal wear to the silver painted top. The original cork stopper has been replaced with another that fits just as snugly.
